Short Story

The Selborne 1st Water Polo team will embark on a Goals for Lives campaign to stand together to support the ’Walking Sisipho’ initiative.

Last year the u16 Border waterpolo team started this initiative but sadly the price of her walker has increased and therefore we are raising more money so that we can buy it for her.

As the young men of today we have realised that we often let our needs and our wants confuse us, we allow the desire for a want today to become a need tomorrow. As the Selborne College 1st waterpolo team we plan to turn our want, to score goals and win games, into helping Sisipho achieve her need of attending school

Sisipho is a 7 year old little girl with Cerebral Palsy.

She desperately needs a walker and some boots to support her feet and help her walk with her walker. At present she gets around by crawling on her little knees.

Please pledge R10 per goal we score to help us get Sisipho walking. Click here to pledge now or you can donate a once off amount now.

Story

Sisipho currently lives at The King’s Children’s Home, East London.
She is a very determined child who wants to learn more and more each day.
She has developed good upper body strength over the last year and the next step would be for her to be in an upright position and to start moving her legs.

We would love to help her gain more independence and a Walker would do just that.

The King’s Children’s Home is a safe house for babies and young children that have been abandoned or abused. They are a Non-Profit Organization based outside of East London, in the Eastern Cape, South Africa
