Short Story

SACS Junior School is, once again, thrilled to host this year’s M&G SACS Junior School Water Polo Tournament, taking place from the 15th to 18th of October. In addition to competing, the boys will be raising funds for the JAG Foundation.

The JAG Foundation is in its 15th year of creating sustainable change in high-risk communities in South Africa. Utilising sport and play as educational tools to impart life skills and offer children in these communities an alternative lifepath to gangsterism, drugs, and abuse.

All participants are encouraged to seek sponsorships from their local community, either through pledges based on the number of every goal scored in the tournament (2024 saw 1350 goals scored) or by securing once off donations.

The funds raised will go towards the JAG cycling programme where new entry level MT Bikes are needed to keep the program running.

Join the boys in activating generosity through sport by donating now.

Story

At the JAG Foundation, we use sport as a catalyst for change. Through Rugby, Running, Cycling, Netball, and BullyProof ( anti bullying ) our programmes teach life skills, build resilience, and open doors to brighter futures.

Since 2007, we’ve impacted over 14 Cape Flats communities, including Langa, Khayelitsha, Bonteheuwel, Delft, and Lavender Hill. Every facilitator comes from the community they serve, offering relatable role models who understand the challenges the children face.

We train and employ these mentors as accredited coaches, empowering them to run safe, structured programmes backed by the JAG Foundation. With schools as bases and safe transport provided, children gain a secure environment to learn, grow, and dream.
