About EduSport Youth Organisation:

EduSport is a youth empowerment organisation that provides sport and education to the people in need. They uplift the community by creating jobs for youth to work in schools, clubs and afternoon academic sport programs, this ensures everyone has equal access to education and sport. They employ and train unemployed youth to to be literacy or sport coaches.

Our Story:

About 80% of all grade 4 learners in South Africa are functionally illiterate. These learners are squished into a single classroom of up to 74 children which hinders their progression in learning to read and write. There being so many children in one class makes it difficult for the teachers to help each student individually. Our goal is to raise enough funds to contribute towards the construction of a Literacy Centre in Mdantsane to help the children in need. To achieve this goal we plan to play basketball for six hours to raise funds. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will contribute to this cause.
