Story
Recently, us learners at Selborne College have been tasked to make a difference in our community by performing a task that will be able to rally the support of everyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children who do not have access to the facilities that us fortunate students take for granted. At first we pondered on what to do about this situation, then it hit us that we would rally everyone together via running laps around our neighbourhood, showing that fitness can lead to an improvement in learning and not just in physical aspects. The way in which we plan to act on our promises is through our Non-Profit Organisation partner Masinyusane!
Masinyusane creates opportunities for underprivileged and unfortunate children to have access to the best education they possibly can receive! They invest their time and even their money to provide towards education projects that can lift the community up to help the cause aswell.
Masinyusane provides one on one teaching to help students that can’t cope with big environments to feel comfortable at all times when learning and these teachers were also given an opportunity to succeed by receiving this job as they were previously unemployed. They even invest in our generation by providing the opportunity to receive a full scholarship from youth level to high school level and even to tertiary institutions. Please consider donating towards our cause to make a big difference in our future generations of South Africa
