Short Story
This campaign (Putt for lives) was brought together by Rameez, Logan, Brodie, Osten and Nathan with the aim of helping out less privileged children that have no opportunities to learn.
This will be achieved by playing golf, a sport that helps natural environments by providing biodiversity as well as conserving natural habitats.
We will be playing at the Gonubie Golf Club in End St. Gonubie. It will be 36 holes for 6 hours. People can help out by either donating or coming out to help support or join us.
Pledges can made by donating R10 per hole that we get the golf ball in.
All funds made will go towards building a literacy centre.
We have partnered with EduSport Youth, a local non-profit organisation in East London.

Story
We as a team have chosen golf as our activity/sport as it, on top of us helping to contribute towards building a literacy centre, also helps preserve the environment by preserving natural habitats.
EduSport Youth Organization:
EduSport is a youth empowerment organization that provides people in need with sport and education. They improve the community by providing opportunities for youth to work in schools, clubs, and after-school academic sport programs, ensuring that everyone has equal access to education and sport. They hire and train unemployed youth to be literacy tutors or sports coaches.
Our Story and take:
In South Africa, approximately 80% of all grade 4 students are functionally illiterate. These students are crammed into a single classroom with up to 74 other students, impeding their progress in learning to read and write. Because there are so many children in one class, it is difficult for teachers to help each student individually. Our goal is to raise enough funds to contribute to the construction of a Literacy Centre in Mdantsane to assist underprivileged children. To accomplish this goal, we intend to play golf for six hours in order to raise funds. Any donation, large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will help this cause.
