Short Story

The nippers at the East London Surf Lifesaving club are excited to announce that they will be partnering with the Beach Wheelchair For Lives campaign, to improve access to Nahoon beach for people with disabilities.
This initiative hopes to raise enough money to purchase a beach friendly wheelchair, which will be stationed at Nahoon beach and be available to anyone who needs it, so that our beautiful beach can be enjoyed by all.
Our nippers will be competing at the Eastern Cape Surf Lifesaving Champs on the 24th and 25th of February in Jeffreys Bay and will use this competition to raise money, which will go towards purchasing the wheelchair.
The competition consists of individual and team events on the beach and in the surf.
Points are scored by qualifying for a final. The higher you place in a final, the more points you score. At last years event we scored 318 points and came 3rd overall. We are calling for family, friends and people of East London to support this campaign by pledging to sponsor an amount per point scored e.g. sponsoring 1 rand per point for 318 points scored = R318
We are expecting around 20 nippers to participate with a few possible late entries. We are a small team, but we have a lot of heart and are excited for this opportunity to make a difference to the lives of others.
Join us in activating generosity and help us make Nahoon beach a better place for all.
