André Vos is a seasoned finance professional with an extensive career that reflects a blend of corporate expertise, strategic leadership, and a commitment to professional development. Starting his academic journey at the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela University), André completed his B Com (Accounting) degree between 1993 and 1996, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors in the financial industry.
In 2007, André joined the London office of Hichens, Harrison & Co plc, where he quickly established himself as a key member of the Corporate Finance and Institutional Sales team. During this time, he further enhanced his skills by completing the Securities & Investment Institute exams, which equipped him with a deep understanding of the financial markets and investment strategies.
A year later, in 2008, André transitioned to Religare Hichens Harrison’s South African operations in Cape Town, taking on the role of Head of the Institutional Sales desk. His expertise in institutional sales and leadership made him a pivotal figure in driving the company’s growth in the region. In 2009, André achieved the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) accreditation from the University of the Free State, underscoring his dedication to broadening his skill set and providing comprehensive financial planning services.
Since 2009, André Vos has been a vital part of Sanlam Private Wealth, managing the Tygervalley and Claremont offices. His leadership and strategic vision were further demonstrated in 2015 and 2016 when he took charge of Sanlam Private Wealth’s Johannesburg operations. In January 2018, André transitioned to the role of Portfolio Manager, where he continues to leverage his extensive experience to offer tailored investment solutions and portfolio management for clients.
