Short Story

The Selborne College Cricket Club are playing for a greater cause this season.

Through Boundaries for Lives and Wickets for Lives, we want to make a difference by playing for more than just our own success. The abandoned babies of Breath Of Life Place of Safety will be in our hearts and on our minds with every wicket we take and every four/six we hit.

Story

Breath of Life is an initiative started in 2009, by the Restore Trust NPO. Mothers that were unable to bring up children had to choose between termination or abandonment.  The situation demanded a response and so Breath of Life was launched. The Breath of Life Place of Safety in East London cares for 6 abandoned babies at a time.  In partnership with local social workers and adoption agencies, they find these precious children safe, healthy forever families.

Why 1000 days?

Breath Of Life identifies that a child’s first 1000 days are the most crucial. We will be raising funds to contribute to the work they do for every one of their babies’ first 1000 days.
