Short Story
This year the SACS Junior School Grade 6 Squash boys will be playing for a cause bigger than just fulfilling a weekly fixture.
The SACS boys, in partnership Leliebloem, would like to raise R275 000 so that they can establish a container which will be set up as an IT lab. This campaign will provide the boys a real-life experience of how sport can be used to make a positive impact in society.
Our boys need YOU to support this amazing initiative. The Grade 6 boys at SACS challenge not only each other to win as many games as possible this season but challenge our parents/companies and the greater SACS community to pledge towards this campaign.
You can partner with us to activate generosity by pledging per game OR by giving a once-off donation now.

Story
Leliebloem House was founded as a House of Mercy by Bishop Gray in 1868. Archdeacon Lightfoot, gave a sum of money for the purpose of establishing a refuge for fallen women in Plein Street Cape Town. In 1886, House of Mercy was resettled on a site on the Leliebloem House Estate (where the present day Holiday Inn is), made possible by through the generosity of the Society of St John the Evangelist.
Today it is a registered NGO, that operates as a Residential Children’s Home for 60 children, aged 4 years to 18 years old. These children are from troubled families and backgrounds and with no consideration of race, colour or creed. The organization offers the least restrictive environment for children who are placed via the children’s courts.
The Grade 6 boys at SACS Junior School pledge to raise funds for Leliebloem through our sport programme for 2024. Tries, goals, kms run, chess, squash and table tennis wins will give back to a community hostel that cares for children whose families are in distress. The Grade 6 boys voted and they would like to raise R275 000 for a container which will be set up as an IT lab.
