Khensani’s Collection is a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC). They aim to provide hope through education. Their work is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility to promote the development of young people. They strive to give academically talented but economically disadvantaged youth in Diepsloot an opportunity to reach their full potential. Some of their initiatives that we are passionate about include:

• Afterschool Lessons
• Entrepreneur Training
• Career Guidance
• Teen Mentorships
• Feeding and Family upliftment

Khensani’s Collection is a short 15-minute drive away from our school and we have been fortunate enough to meet the children that attend the center, assist with their school work, reading and even help build their second Eco brick classroom! Ecobricks are 2L plastic bottles that are filled (ideally) with non-recyclable plastic. They are then used as bricks with cement to build different structures, from benches to buildings. They are not flammable and are an answer to the plastic pollution in our townships. They are also insulated and keep structures much cooler than traditional zinc buildings (or shacks). In 2020 Khensani’s Collection built their first Ecobrick classroom in Diepsloot which was built out of 16,000 Ecobricks. Construction is now underway for their second classroom and together with helping make ecobrick towards the classroom we are raising funds for furniture and equipment at the centre that we know they need. As a Team we have sat down and made a list of the equipment we hope to purchase through the funds we raise. The list includes: a projector and screen for online lessons and group presentations, 2 white boards, soup kitchen pots, a microwave, gym and sporting equipment and even a couple of trophies for planned sport days! Our school motto is We Shall Give Back and through your support that is exactly what we will be able to do!
