My name is Grant Hill.
My 2021 was fit(ish) to Fat, 12 kgs gained in 6 months tipping the scale on 10 January 2022 at a not so impressive 107.1 kg. (My excuses– Covid, quarantine, excessive drinking, eating and partying. I kept telling myself that I’ll make healthy changes on Monday but Monday never came!)
I came up with every excuse in the book not to train , to rather sleep in, to eat badly, have that “last” beer. If I was physically unable to train that would have been a great excuse, but I’m an able-bodied person who can walk, run, swim and train without assistance – the only actual excuse – LAZINESS!
So… 2022 is my #2022fattofit year. A year where I’ll be setting myself physical challenges to test myself and keep me focused on achieving #2022fattofit.
Through a series of cycling challenges I’ll be raising money for Made For More
20 February – 202km Cycle to start raising awareness for the campaign
26 March – 24 hour Mountain Bike Ride
April – To be decided
May – To be decided
June 17 – Freedom Challenge Race Across South Africa. A 2100km Mountain bike ride from Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal, to Wellington, Western Cape. www.freedomchallenge.org.za
