Short Story

The 24-hour Swim for Lives charity event that the boys of Hilton are always excited for every year.

From Friday, 1st August to Saturday, 2nd August we will be raising money for CHOC so that we can help improve the every day lives of the children in the CHOC homes and Gray’s Hospital Paediatric Oncology Ward.

These children’s lives are very close to my heart, as I recently overcame the hard fight against cancer, and I know just how challenging it is to wake up and fight for future years in my life. Having a good place to rest as your “safe haven” is very important as chemo therapy can be very draining. This year we are working towards raising money to secure the property at the CHOC home to secure their safety in the home and any extra money raised will be used for the paediatric oncology ward at Gray’s to make life a bit easier for the children.

The boys are very excited to get the swimathon underway and we are hoping to reach our goal of R48 000 to donate to CHOC.

You can make a once off donation or pledge per lap. Big or small every donation will take us closer to our goal. Join us in the fight against cancer for the children at CHOC by doing everything we can.

Donations are open now.
