A Pink Day to Remember: Hilton College and Michaelhouse Rally for Cancer Awareness
On November 9th, 2024, Hilton College hosted its annual Pink Day, a heartfelt event where sport and community spirit came together to support a truly meaningful cause. This year, all cricket teams from Hilton and Michaelhouse joined forces to raise awareness and funds for PinkDrive, South Africa’s leading breast cancer community organisation. With a vibrant splash of pink across the campus, the day was a powerful reminder of the importance of unity in the fight against cancer — and the great news is, you can still donate and make a difference!
A Day of Cricket, Community, and Generosity
The grounds of Hilton College were a sea of pink as students, parents, and supporters turned out in full force to cheer on the cricket teams, dressed in their best pink attire. This year’s event was hosted on the Sport for Lives platform, making it easy for everyone to get involved, whether through donations, pledges, or simply showing up in support.
The highlight of the day was not just the exciting cricket matches, but the overwhelming generosity shown by the community. Together, we have already raised R46,075, which is an incredible 92.15% of our goal to reach R50,000. But the campaign doesn’t end here — there’s still time to contribute and help us cross the finish line!
